What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused consciousness. It is a very powerful and relaxing tool used to access your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is who you are.  It is the sum of your life experiences; it controls your habits and beliefs.

Through the gentle process of hypnosis you CAN accomplish your goals and transform your life.

What does Hypnosis involve?

I will help you achieve a relaxed state of mind and tailor the session to help your subconscious mind to give you the belief that you can achieve your desired goal.

You will be given positive suggestions to help boost your motivation to change existing bad habits or overcome your fears.

Is Hypnosis safe?

Hypnosis is perfectly safe. You remain in control at all times; you can choose to end the end the session at any time and you can never be made to do anything against your will.

It is a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable experience.

What can be treated with Hypnosis?

Hypnosis can be used for many different purposes.

It can help achieve safe and healthy weight loss, enable you to stop smoking successfully, overcome your fears and phobias, manage stress, change your bad habits and boost your confidence.

Can anybody be Hypnotized?

I have worked with all sorts of different people from a wide variety of backgrounds, from professionals and sports stars, to housewives and children. I help people to achieve whatever it is that they want to do, but that they need a little help with.

I have helped children who have low self esteem or are being bullied at school, ladies who can’t cope with the ever-increasing demands on their time and never have anyone to talk to, elderly people who are worried about living alone or are in poor health, professional people who need that little push to start their own business, my own son to win his next chess game or my own daughter to pass her school tests…

Most people I see have never been hypnotized before but, although I understand you may be a little nervous or even skeptical, most people have a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Hypnosis has also been used by many famous people over the years.

Does Hypnosis always work?

Generally, anybody of normal intelligence who is willing to follow simple instructions can be hypnotized. Although it will work for the majority of people, the majority of the time, there are no guarantees. It depends on a number of factors, not least of which is how open-minded you are to receiving subconscious instruction.

I will help to put you into a calm and relaxed state of mind which will give you the best chance of having a successful session. The more relaxed you are prior to hypnosis, the deeper you will go into hypnosis and the more effective it will be.

Are there any limitations to Hypnosis?

I am not a medical practitioner and I cannot, therefore, provide a medical diagnosis nor recommend discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments. Hypnosis is, however, recommended by many doctors, particularly by those engaged in integrative and holistic therapy.

There has been much research carried out into hypnosis and how it compares to other, more traditional, treatments.

How many sessions are needed?

The number of sessions depends on the person and what is being treated. Stopping smoking normally only requires one session, as does dealing with a specific fear or phobia, whereas weight loss and helping you to manage stress and anxiety, for example, usually requires three or more sessions.

Every person is different, however, and you decide how often you want to see me. Some people have just one session, most have three or four and some people benefit from a regular monthly top-up.

What does a Hypnosis session involve?

The initial session is where I get to know you, to find out what it is that you need help with. You will be able to talk about the issues you have been experiencing and, once you are in a calm and relaxed state of mind, the hypnosis session can begin.

Every person is different, and every session is different; I tailor the session specifically to what you need help with right now! It is completely safe, and most people have a wonderful, relaxing experience. The initial session usually lasts between 90 and 120 minutes; subsequent sessions are normally a little shorter.

Where do the sessions take place?

Face-to-face sessions take place in my home office in Lake Nona, Orlando, Florida. My office is located just 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport which is ideal for clients who prefer to see me in person.

For clients who live out of state, in another country, or who feel more relaxed in the comfort of their own home, I am able to conduct remote online sessions (see FAQ below).

Do remote online sessions really work?

Absolutely – 100%

In all the years I have been offering hypnotherapy, remote online sessions have proved as effective, if not more so, than traditional face-to-face sessions.

I can categorically state that it makes absolutely no difference whether you are sitting next to me, or you are in a different city or even a different country.


The moment you close your eyes, you will experience the same high-quality hypnosis session as if we were in the same room.


We will share that room together, you feel safe and secure in your own home. All you need is a private space and some quiet time, free from interruptions.

You can work sessions into your personal schedule, you don’t need to worry about the traffic, the weather or travelling at night.

And, most importantly, you won’t feel worried about entering an unfamiliar room and sharing your deepest darkest secrets in person.

You will be able to relax more quickly with a remote session and enter a deep hypnotic state more effectively in your favorite armchair.

The process is simple. All you need is a laptop, tablet or smart phone. We will send you all of the details, including the link to the video conference call, once you schedule your appointment.
