If you are overweight and have tried lots of diets before with little or no success then it’s time for a new approach. Our eating patterns are formed in childhood and can change over the course of time and can be affected by stress, boredom and other emotional issues.

Diets usually involve depriving you of the foods you crave most, such as cookies, cakes, chips, alcohol etc but the more you tell yourself that you must not have that chocolate cake the more you can imagine how good it would taste! Eventually you give in and have some. This is because whenever you have conscious willpower versus subconscious imagination, it is always your imagination that will win.

As hypnosis works directly with your subconscious mind by giving you suggestions on how to deal with your attitude to food and boosting your motivation to incorporate some exercise into your lifestyle, it is very successful in helping you achieve your goals.

For weight loss, I generally recommend a minimum of three sessions in order to get to the root cause of what is holding you back from achieving your goal, or it could be four or five sessions depending on the client; each person is different.
